Condo Kayaks

The family owns two yellow kayaks, one tandem and one single.  The storage rack is over at the Boat Club on the Intercoastal. The rack is just north of the beach house/restroom building. Our rack is G2, as shown in the picture. They are locked up with a cable and padlock with a combination of 4747. Pay attention to how the cable goes through the self draining holes, scupper holes, as shown in the video below. This is the easiest way to get them locked up and protect them so water and other stuff doesn't get trapped in the kayak. Use the cart to move the kayaks to and from the beach, as shown in the video below.  Lock the cart up when it's not in use.  When you get back from kayaking put them on the stand next to the hose to rinse them off, as shown in the video below. It’s important to get as much sand and salt water as you can before putting them back on the rack.   (MORE INFO AND VIDEOS AFTER THE JUMP)

How to Make a Reservation

All lodge and condo reservations must be made on the blog, not via phone, email, or text.

Immediately send your check to Jason/Mandy at the address below. (When/if the PayPal system is in place, you will be notified.) When the check is received, your reservation will be put on the blog.

• Click on the "# Comments" text under the lodge or condo calendar, depending on which property you are making a reservation. BE SURE you are on the correct calendar!
• A small window should pop up with all the comments for this post/calendar.
• Scroll down to the bottom. Click the "Other" button and type your (real) name beside "Name".
• Type your reservation request (i.e. dates, rooms, exclusive use, etc) in the comment space.
• If reserving rooms for the lodge, please specify which rooms you are requesting. Please use the following room designations:
• M-King::Main floor King-size bed room
• M-Queen::Main floor Queen
• UpKing1/Twin::Upstairs King-size with a twin and a trundle bed (above the M-King, facing lake)
• UpKing2/Bunks::Upstairs Family Room w/ 2 twin bunk beds & a King-size bed (above kitchen, facing lake)
• UpKing3::Small room above M-Queen, facing woods
• UpQueen::Small room above kitchen, facing woods
• Bunk1:: 6 beds
• Bunk2:: 4 beds

• Once finished, click the "Publish Your Comment" button. Your comment will be added to the list and an email containing your comment will be sent to the Calendar Kaiser.

Condo Reservations

• 1 Week = 7 nights (Saturday to Saturday)
• Sibling owners may reserve two consecutive weeks at any time.
• The cousin generation can only make a reservation six months out, or less, from their arrival date. The only exception would be for honeymoons, within the first year of marriage. 
• The cousin generation can only reserve one week during Spring Break season (March thru half of April) and the month of October. However, if within a month ahead of arriving at the condo there are openings to extend your stay you may reserve those extra days at a pro-rated rate.
• If you wish to extend your time you MUST contact the Calendar Kaiser to confirm that the extension is approved.  The days must be pro-rated at your rate and paid promptly.  It is the individual's responsibility to reach out to the Calendar Kaiser and confirm.  

• User fees
• 30+ years old = $400 per week. Extra nights are $400/7.
• Less than age 30 = $200 per week.  Extra nights are $200/7.
• Honeymooners = Free
• Age refers to the blood relative in the relationship
• July, August, Sept = Half price
• All payments are due at the time of the reservation (ie, time it is initially requested via the blog).  Once the check is received the reservation will be placed on the calendar.  If/when we go to a Paypal type system, we will update this process.  
• Cancellation with no loss of condo fee = At least 2 months prior to arrival date.

• There will be no reimbursements for weather related problems, regardless of the severity, without consensus from a majority of the owners.

Lodge Reservations

Exclusive Use Reservations:

• If you have a group that wishes to rent the lodge, like IWU or Anderson, you will need to send a note to the sibling group and Mayer kids to get consensus/approval for the group and the desired dates.  These two groups pay $1000 for the three mid-week nights in the summer season, so a new group would pay the same rate, $350 per night.  January/February would rent for half-price.  If a family member is not present it will be considered a rental, not a family exclusive.  Once group approval as been given, repeat visits of the same length/estimated dates are automatically approved and payment is expected after invoicing the group.
• Every year each sibling family will have the option for two Exclusive Use weekends during the months of November to March.  An Exclusive Use weekend runs from Friday 5pm to Sunday 5pm. 
• Fee=$100 
• Cannot be used during Thanksgiving weekend, New Year's, or the 3 weekends/2 weeks of Christmas
• Every two years each sibling family will have the option for one exclusive week.  
• Friday PM to Friday AM or Sunday PM to Sunday AM (i.e. including one weekend, not two). Saturday to Saturday is not allowed as this affects two weekends.  
• The week cannot be connected to a summer holiday weekend (i.e. Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day) or Spring Break period (as defined below). 
• During the winter months of January and February any family member can have exclusive use of the lodge up to seven days for $25/night.
• All payments are due at the time of the reservation when it is requested via the blog.  Once the check is received the reservation will be placed on the blog.  If/when we go to a Paypal type system, we will update this process.
• There will be no reimbursements for weather related problems, regardless of the severity.

Exclusive Non-Exclusive Use Reservations:

• On any weekend each sibling family can reserve a maximum of three rooms.
• Weekdays from Sunday night to Thursday night -- Up to five bedrooms can be reserved two times per year, per sibling family.
• Summer holiday weekends (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day)
• Three rooms per sibling family
• Just family unless you are bringing extra kids to bunk with your kids -- This allows for more families to use the lodge on holidays.
• Spring Break
• During March and the first half of April, up to three nights and three rooms per sibling family can be reserved.
• If the family member is less than 23 years of age, there will be no entertaining of guests without the permission of the parents and a suitable chaperone in attendance.
